Smoother, Quieter Travel With New Rollers

If your garage door grinds, rattles or shakes as it moves, worn rollers are often the reason. Each roller rides inside the track on a small bearing, and once that bearing dries out or the wheel cracks, the door starts to drag and the opener works harder.

We upgrade most homes to sealed nylon rollers with ball bearings. They run much quieter than basic steel rollers and need very little upkeep. Steel rollers remain a solid choice for heavy or commercial doors. A typical four section door uses ten rollers.

New rollers also give us a chance to inspect the tracks, hinges and bottom brackets. The bottom roller brackets connect to the lift cables and are under spring tension, so leave those to a professional.
